Modeling - Location Profiler - Column Weight

Hello,
I am trying to create a center of gravity (cog) map using the Modeling - Location Profiler. I have been able to create the cog successfully, but now would like to weight one of the data columns to see the impact/shift on the cog. However, even by selecting a column in the "Weight Column" list the cog never changes. The data column that I select is in integer format.
Does anyone have any solutions for me?
If you need any clarification please let me know.
Thanks
-P
