Patch for MapInfo Professional v8.0

Patch Description:

This is an incremental patch that will update MapInfo Professional v8.0 Build 18 to MapInfo Professional v8.0 Build 33. This patch can only be applied to the release versions of MapInfo Professional v8.0. This patch is not valid for any pre-releases of MapInfo Professional v8.0, MapBasic v8.0, MapInfo Professional Runtime v8.0 or ProViewer v8.0. There are no user interface changes, and it can be safely applied to any localized releases of MapInfo Professional v8.0.

Patch Instructions:

Download Requirements
  • Install MapInfo Professional v8.0, if not already.
  • Quit MapInfo Professional if it is running (and MapBasic if you have it installed) prior to launching the patch installer.
  • If you are patching a network install of MapInfo Professional, make sure MapInfo Professional is not being run by other clients. This may cause the patch installer to fail.
  • There is no need to re-run the client install after the server install of MapInfo has been patched.

Download Instructions
Patch Installer:
  1. Create temporary directories on your hard drive, such as C:\TEMP\MIPro80patch
  2. Click on the MIPro80Patch.exe download link that will cause the File Download dialog box to appear.
  3. Choose the "Save" button and navigate to the directory created in Step 1 (i.e. c:\temp\MIPro80patch).
  4. Once the download completes, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the directory created in Step 1 (i.e. c:\temp\MIPro80patch)
  5. Double-click on the file called MIPro80patch.exe
  6. This program will start the Installshield Wizard that will lead you through the rest of the patch installation process.
